A descent in five regions
The journey passes through sewers, prison, caves, a dwarven city and demon halls. Use those changes as a reason to look again at the enemies, ground and supplies around you. A habit that felt safe in one region may need a different answer in the next.

At a new doorway
Check your health and your way back before opening more of the map. Notice where a fight could spread into open space and where you could reduce the number of directions that matter. Moving toward loot and moving toward safety are not always the same decision.

A working field routine
- Observe. Inspect the unfamiliar thing before assuming it behaves like something you have already met.
- Position. Choose the ground where you want the next few turns to happen.
- Spend deliberately. Use a resource for a specific problem, with an idea of what remains afterward.
- Reassess. When the situation changes, pause and make a new plan.
Do not turn these notes into a rigid route. Floors are generated anew, and the contents of your pack change the options available to you. The point of a routine is to notice important information before you act, not to press the same sequence of buttons every time.
After a difficult floor
Name the resource that felt scarce. If the next decision can preserve it without creating a bigger problem, you have a useful priority for the descent ahead.
